Pi Network Nears 10,000 AI-Powered Apps Milestone Despite Community Concerns

Pi Network is approaching a major milestone with 9,120 AI-powered apps created via its no-code App Studio platform, alongside 30 live applications on its mainnet. This rapid growth underscores strong developer interest, though technical limitations have caused some community friction.

The App Studio, launched during Pi2Day, simplifies app creation by allowing users to build AI tools using natural language prompts—removing coding requirements. Current mainnet offerings include utilities like Map of Pi, gaming platforms such as PlayGames, and e-commerce solutions like 1pi Mall.

Controversy arose when Dr Altcoin disclosed an 8,430-app limit on the platform, sparking user complaints. Critics challenged the arbitrary restriction given Pi Core Team's 4 million followers, with one community member mocking the constraint.
